This kettle heated water briskly, but mine didn’t last long. The pot doesn’t lift off the base. Since the cord is very short, this is a serious safety hazard if you absent-mindedly pick up the kettle without unplugging it–you reach the end of the cord and the kettle jerks and slops out boiling water. So I plugged and unplugged every time I used it. Turned out that the cord was so cheaply made that it frayed where it connects to the kettle. The day I saw a spark there I threw the kettle away. I had one of these before. I loved it, but was sad when I noticed a problem on cord near the pot which was probably from my careless use. There was no more at Meijer, so was very happy to find it online. It heats water real fast, has on-off button. |
